Safety Drives Business Success

Safety Drives Business Success

The Intersociety Forum, which includes safety, health, and environmental (SH&E) organizations like the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), recently published Driving Business Growth and Profitability Through Modern Occupational Environmental, Health and Safety Practices to highlight the ways in which safety practices “create a strategic advantage that powers enduring business success while fostering innovation and protecting workers.”

The report details how businesses can, “by adopting proactive, risk-based safety strategies … unlock greater productivity, reduce costs and strengthen their global competitiveness.” It outlines these strategies as part of three Key Principles:

  1. Business-Driven Practice: Standards and Worker Well-Being
  2. Beyond Compliance: Embracing Risk and Safety Management Systems
  3. Leading Indicators: Revolutionizing Recordkeeping for Predictive Insights

As a member of the Intersociety Forum, BCSP supports these principles as the foundation of a safer, healthier, and more prosperous future in which both businesses and workers thrive.
