Emerging Professionals Committee
Composed of early-stage career professionals, the Emerging Professionals Committee seeks to engage the newest generation of safety practitioners in advancing EHS practice.
The committee offers unique insight to BCSP on the needs of emerging professionals and the talents and skills they have to offer while also seeking ways to guide them along their career journey. By staying actively informed about the latest developments in safety regulations and industry best practices, committee members exemplify a commitment to workplace safety standards, proactive measures, and continuous improvement.

Mackenzie Lofland
GSP, CHST
Mackenzie Lofland is a Safety Specialist at American Contractors Insurance Group (ACIG), where she plays a key role in managing and guiding environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives that support ACIG’s 40 Contractor Members. Her career in safety began at ACIG in 2015, where she discovered a passion for protecting people and building proactive, people-centered safety practices. To deepen her field expertise, she spent two years with Rogers-O'Brien Construction, gaining valuable hands-on experience before returning to ACIG to further her impact.
Mackenzie holds a BS in Environmental Health and Safety from Oakland University and a BS in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University. She is a Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) and a Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).
In addition to her professional work, Mackenzie contributes to the safety community as Chair of BCSP’s Emerging Professionals Committee, a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), and participant in the TEXO Safety Committee to promote best practices and collaboration across the industry.

Bob Cammisa
CSP, ASP
Bob Cammisa is an accomplished production safety professional and producer with over a decade of experience in the entertainment industry. As a Production Health & Safety Manager at Netflix, he plays a key role in ensuring safe production environments for a wide range of film projects. His leadership is grounded in both hands-on production experience and a robust foundation in safety management systems.
Starting out as a producer, Cammisa built a diverse portfolio that includes award-winning short films, commercials, YouTube series, live television work, and documentaries. He also co-owned a production company for over five years before transitioning into the safety field.
Cammisa holds a bachelor’s degree in Film/Video Production from Fairfield University and is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) as well as an Associate Safety Professional (ASP).
From developing compelling visual narratives to building and implementing comprehensive safety protocols, Cammisa brings a unique, dual-lens approach—blending creativity with critical safety oversight.

Emma Welker
CSP, CHST
Emma Welker, CSP, CHST, is an accomplished environmental, safety, and health professional who currently serves as the Chair for the Emerging Professionals Committee. She works for Turner Construction Company out of Dallas, Texas, and has experience in a number of fields including but not limited to, healthcare, multifamily, data centers, etc.
Welker is a graduate of Slippery Rock University, Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. There she obtained her first Board of Certified Safety Professionals certification, the Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP), and a bachelor’s degree in Safety Management.
Mike Anderson
GSP
Mike Anderson is a Safety Specialist with (3) years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry, currently serving with Goodfellow Bros. in the Hawaii region. In his role, he manages and supports safety programs across Kauai and the Big Island, working closely with project teams to promote a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and reduce risk across complex construction operations.
Mike brings a disciplined, hands on approach to safety management, shaped by both his construction experience and his extensive background in the United States Marine Corps. Prior to transitioning into the construction industry, he served 10 years in the Marine Corps as a Supply and Maintenance Manager and Combat Engineer. During his military career, he led personnel, managed logistics and equipment readiness, and operated in high risk environments where planning, accountability, and hazard control were critical to mission success.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Safety and Health Management from Central Washington University and has earned the Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) credential.
Mike is known for his ability to build strong relationships in the field, translate safety requirements into practical solutions, and support crews in working safely without sacrificing productivity. His combined experience in heavy civil construction and military leadership allows him to effectively manage risk, communicate expectations clearly, and contribute to safe, successful project outcomes.
Kaitlin Brittain
CSP, ASP
Kaitlin Brittain is the rigging and lifting safety manager at M.C. Dean – where she leads safety strategy, risk management, and field execution for complex lift and logistics operations supporting mission-critical infrastructure projects.
Brittain began her career at M.C. Dean as a Safety Manager for the company’s Modular Mission Critical™ campus, where she developed and enforced comprehensive safety programs for modular construction. Her success inspired a pivot into rigging and logistics, where she now applies a hands-on, technically detailed approach to ensuring safe and efficient heavy-lift operations.
Brittain holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida Southern College as well as a Master of Health Science in Environmental and Global Health from the University of Florida. She is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Associate Safety Professional (ASP).
Yashwanth Garlapati
CSP, CRSP, CMIOSH
Yashwanth Garlapati, CSP, CRSP, CMIOSH is an HSE Professional based in Kuwait, working in upstream oil & gas sector, supporting drilling and workover activities on behalf of Kuwait Oil Company (KOC). His responsibilities include HSE auditing, contractor performance management, regulatory compliance and implementation of structured HSE systems as per local and international standards.
He is an active safety professional sharing knowledge through expert networks, technical engagement, mentoring & coaching, promoting safety, engineering & risk oriented education among aspiring safety professionals.
Yash holds professional certifications including Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), and Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH).
Victoria Goudreau
CSP, ASP
Victoria Goudreau, CSP, is an accomplished environmental, health, and safety (EHS) professional. She currently serves as the Product Validation EHS Leader at GE Aerospace in Evendale, Ohio, where she provides operational EHS support to the Evendale team and offers strategic guidance to other sites within the Product Validation organization. Goudreau is also a part of GE Aerospace’s internal audit program, where she conducts audits of manufacturing facilities to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement. Previously, Goudreau served as the EHS Leader for the Development Labs at the Evendale site.
Victoria is a graduate of GE Aerospace’s Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP), where she gained diverse experience through roles as an EHS Specialist at Auburn, Alabama, and Asheville, North Carolina, and as a Manufacturing Supervisor at Dayton, Ohio. For the past three (3) years, she has served as one (1) of two (2) EHS OMLP Champions, advocating for and mentoring young EHS professionals to foster their growth and development within the program.
Victoria holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University. She is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Associate Safety Professional (ASP).
Jesse Kluttz
GSP, CHST, STSC
Jesse Kluttz is an emerging safety professional with diverse experience in both the commercial construction sector and pharmaceutical manufacturing environments. Kluttz is currently the Director of Health, Safety and Environment for United Painting Services, Inc. based out of Monroe, North Carolina. Jesse oversees six (6) different divisions of the company and over 100 active projects ranging across five (5) states in the Southeast.
Starting out in the electrical trade while pursuing his master’s degree, Kluttz quickly excelled in a career for which he had a burning passion. Through his hands-on approach and continuous development of technical knowledge, Kluttz has built a wealth of relationships and diverse portfolio leading safety on projects working for DPR Construction and Eli Lilly. His wealth of experience in high rise construction, pharmaceutical manufacturing, data centers, healthcare, and aviation construction round out his expansive environmental health and safety background.
Kluttz holds two bachelor’s degrees from Clemson University in Natural Resource Management and Environmental Science as well as a master’s in Occupational Safety and Health from Georgia Tech. He holds the Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) and Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC) certifications and the Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) designation.
Laura Tone
GSP
Laura Tone is a Loss Control Representative with over six (6) years of experience in risk management, workplace safety, and compliance. Currently with Pennsylvania Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Company, she conducts technical risk assessments for lumber and building materials operations, identifying hazards and recommending mitigation strategies. Her previous roles involved developing safety programs, advising franchise locations, and delivering industry-specific safety consultations.
Tone holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Safety from the University of Central Oklahoma and maintains certifications such as ICS 700, ICS 200, ICS 400, and FEMA G-235 Emergency Planning. She has been recognized with awards including the NextGen Under 30 Oklahoma – Staffing Award and the OKC ASSP Professional Development Grant, highlighting her leadership and commitment to workplace safety.

Josh Becker
PhD, CSP
Dr. Josh Becker, PhD, CSP is a Partner/Safety Consultant with URS Safety in Wheeling, West Virginia. He provides Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) consulting services and operates unmanned aircraft to conduct safety risk assessments to a diverse set of companies across all industries ranging from energy to construction. He brings over 25 years of industry experience spanning multiple disciplines.
Becker is a Combat Veteran who previously served as a Training/Safety Officer in the West Virginia Army National Guard Aviation Branch for over 24 years. He holds adjunct professor roles with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Columbia Southern University. In addition, he has been a policy researcher for the RAND Corporation, helping to improve policy and decision making through research and analysis.
Josh is a Professional Member of the ASSP, Past President of the Western Pennsylvania Chapter, and past Deputy Regional Vice President for ASSP Region VIII. He is currently a board member of Ohio Valley Energy Association and Belmont College Safety Programs Advisory Committee.
Becker holds a B.S. from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, an M.S. in Safety Management from West Virginia University, and a PhD in Occupational Safety and Health from Capitol Technology University. He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a Quality Control Manager (CQM) for U.S. Army Corp of Engineers.

Sammy Davis
PhD, CSP, GradIOSH, NREMT-P
Dr. Sammy Davis brings over 36 years of expertise in public and occupational health and safety, with a strong background spanning tactical EMS, transportation, construction, oil & gas, and, more recently, the food service industry. Currently, Dr. Davis serves as Vice President, Global Safety, Security, and Risk Management at Papa John’s International, where he leads teams specializing in occupational health, safety, DOT compliance, security, law enforcement, and loss prevention. In this role, he oversees safety and security operations globally, encompassing 13 Quality Control Centers, over 500 corporate restaurants, and three Global Restaurant Support Centers.
Dr. Davis has actively contributed to numerous professional boards, including Kentucky Harvest, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Jeffersontown Chamber of Commerce, National Safe Place, and most recently, the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. He holds respected certifications as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Graduate Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (GradIOSH), and Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (NREMT-P).
Dr. Davis completed both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Indiana University and earned a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University. His doctoral research focused on the effects transformational leadership characteristics have on workplace engagement within the health and safety profession.
