Our Impact
Advancing Safety & Safety Professionals
Workplace safety thrives when safety professionals are recognized, supported, and empowered.
As a not-for-profit organization, we are guided by our mission to inspire and develop leaders in EHS. We are proud to invest in the students, practitioners, and programs that drive progress and build a safer future.
Everything we do, from awarding quality certifications that meet the ISO/IEC 17024 Personnel Certification standard, to offering accessible educational resources, hosting high-level professional development events, and collaborating with partners across the EHS landscape, is done with the goal of helping safety professionals reach their highest potential.
Credentials awarded to safety professionals since 1969.

BCSP Donations
The BCSP Foundation (2018-2025)
Thanks to the generosity of dedicated safety practitioners and organizations committed to improving safety cultures worldwide, the BCSP Foundation provided over $1.1 million for the funding of scholarships and grants.
This investment supported student scholarships, funded over $185,000 in research and innovation grants, and helped establish key programs like the Dotson Emerging Professionals Award, the SHIFT safety journal, and the Research and Innovation Summit.
Although the Foundation concluded its operations in 2025, BCSP continues its work of giving back to the industry and continuing to support the growth, development, and recognition of safety leaders across the globe.
Contributions to the Profession
In 2025, the BCSP Foundation provided the ASSP Foundation a landmark $325,000 gift to support resources, programs, and initiatives to further drive workforce development.
The BCSP Foundation further provided financial support to the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) to continue to develop qualified craft professionals, promote construction careers, and advance industry safety standards.
“This historic gift (from the BCSP Foundation) enables our ASSP Foundation to actively develop program enhancements and new initiatives, bolstering our efforts in creating the safety and health workforce of the future.”
