Service Member Benefits
Are you a United States military service member? We are glad to have you here!
BCSP safety certifications are recognized and highly regarded by the U.S. military. Our certifications have been mapped to over 700 occupations across the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine, and Department of Defense civil service. BCSP and the Department of Defense (DoD) offer substantial benefits service members can utilize in pursuing or maintaining certification.

BCSP Benefits
Below are some of the benefits BCSP provides for you and your fellow service members:
- The Transitional Safety Practitioner® (TSP®) designation for those with the Professional Certificate in Safety and Occupational Health, U.S. Army Combat Readiness Center (ACRC) (formerly “CP-12”)
- Extensions While Pursuing/Leaves of Absence While Maintaining Certification (PDF)
- PearsonVUE Testing Centers on Military Bases Around the Globe
DoD COOL Benefits
The Department of Defense’s Credentialing Opportunities On-Line (COOL) program offers substantial support for achieving professional certifications. Each military service’s COOL program includes BCSP’s ANAB-accredited certifications. In fact, the ASP, CSP, and CHST are so popular among service members that they are listed by COOL as “In Demand.”
COOL programs pay for exam fees, examCORE, and certifications' renewal fees.
Links to each service’s COOL program, where service members can find more information and how to contact a representative for assistance, can be found on the DoD COOL Portal.

“The Air Force COOL program was extremely easy to utilize and the funds were even easier to access. To apply, all I needed to do was upload a quick PowerPoint and call the AF COOL center. My ASP study materials and exam were paid for.”
— David Mace, CSP, U.S. Air Force
