CSP Award of Excellence

Tim Page-Bottorff’s career in safety began 30 years ago, fighting oil fires as a U.S. Marine in Operation Desert Storm. After leaving the military, he became a full-time safety professional, eventually achieving distinction as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP). He is a past recipient of ASSP’s prestigious Society-Wide Safety Professional of the Year Award and NSC’s Distinguished Service to Safety Award.

Page-Bottorff speaks all over the globe at conferences and professional development seminars. He is commonly referred to as the “Humor Guy” because of his famous “Humor in Safety” presentation. He is also the author of the “Core of Four,” a motivational book to improve performance, self-discipline, and personal accountability.

Currently completing his third and final year on the ASSP Board of Directors, Page-Bottorff also played an instrumental role in the development of BCSP’s examCORE program for the Certified Instructional Trainer (CIT) credential. As a father of three and a former world-class athlete, he is passionate about taking safety and performance training to the community.

Page-Bottorff completed his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University and earned a master’s degree from Central Washington University in Occupational Health and Safety Management.

 

CIT Award of Excellence

Dr. Veera Kumar Mohan is a highly dedicated and accomplished professional with more than 23 years of expertise in the safety, health, and environment (SH&E) field. With more than 11 years of both industrial experience and academic exposure, Mohan has established himself as a renowned authority in the field.

He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Management and two master’s degrees – Industrial Safety Engineering, and Ecology and Environment Science – showcasing a diverse educational background that contributes to his comprehensive understanding of SH&E principles. Demonstrating his commitment to professional development, he has obtained nearly a dozen esteemed certifications, including Chartered Engineer (CEng), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Safety Management Specialist (SMS), Certified Instructional Trainer (CIT), and Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), attesting to his exceptional expertise and unwavering dedication to his field.

Mohan is a long-serving mentor, dedicated to nurturing and guiding aspiring safety practitioners. Beyond the professional sphere, he actively engages in community service and charitable endeavors, extending his impact beyond the workplace. This involvement underscores his holistic approach to personal, professional, and community development.

In all endeavors, Mohan has made significant strides in advancing the SH&E field. Through continuous learning, mentorship, and community engagement, he remains steadfast in making a positive difference in the lives and careers of individuals within the realm of health and safety.
