CSP – CIH Alignment
Did you know that if you hold a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credential from the Board for Global EHS Credentialing (BGC), you can apply it toward your Certified Safety Professional (CSP) recertification?
Recently Earned Your CIH
If you have recently earned your CIH, you can upload your information in the BCSP recertification application under Category 10 – Additional Certification or License.
Simply enter the start and expiration dates. Your CSP recertification cycle will then align with the same dates as your CIH credential.
Recently Recertified Your CIH
If you have recently recertified your CIH, you can upload your information in the BCSP recertification application under the Alignment of Multiple Certifications category.
Be sure to include the required dates and supporting documentation so the information can be saved to your CSP recertification worksheet.
Ethics Training Requirement
Please note: You will still need to complete 5 hours of ethics training for your CSP recertification. Up to 3 hours from your CIH ethics training may be applied toward this requirement.
