Happy Anniversary to The Hub!

Happy Anniversary to The Hub!

From frontline workers to safety leaders to educators, users have flocked to The Hub in its first year to find helpful resources for the important work they do each day.

With more than 300 unique pieces of content—podcasts, webinars, eBooks, guides, videos, etc.—and more being added all the time, The Hub truly has something for everyone.

The Hub went live November 15, 2023, with a mission—to become the go-to source for safety, health, and environmental resources. Since that time, more than 13,000 users have engaged with and benefitted from its content.

Take this comment from Hub user Natalie W. on The Hub guide Psychological Safety: The Foundation of Total Worker Health:

“Good Read! This article is full of good information that I can bring up in my project’s safety meeting.”

Or this one from Georgi P. on Protecting Workers from Noise-Induced Hearing Loss: Understanding Risks, Industry Impact, and Prevention Strategies:

“Excellent summary of the risks and opportunities for risk reduction. We will use it for our MS IH noise class. Thank you for providing such valuable free resources.”

The Hub certainly includes job-specific content for the critical responsibilities safety professionals often perform in their daily roles—hearing protection, fire prevention, heat stress, confined spaces, and the like.

It also goes well beyond that to offer resources to help safety pros grow as leaders or tackle new areas of expertise that are also important to the profession—cybersecurity, human resources, the business case for safety, and more.

The Hub also provides content aimed at addressing challenges and situations safety professionals may face in their careers. Take mental health, for example, with a guide to Breaking the Silence: Addressing the Alarming Rise of Suicide in the Construction Industry, which led Hub user Keith G. to comment:

“I’m so glad that the topic of suicide is being addressed here. Awareness is key to helping others who might be suffering alone. ‘I believe in you’ or ‘You matter’ are very powerful words to someone in need of a reason to live.”

If you are already a Hub user, we are grateful that you trust us for your safety resources. More engaging content is on the way for year two. If you still need more incentive to check it out, here are just a couple more user comments to inspire you:

“The more I log on, I always discover something different and useful.” – Todd M.

“Great information and easily accessible.” – Allison L.

We invite you to join us in celebrating The Hub’s first anniversary by logging on and joining a community that supports your growth. We are confident you will find resources to help you expand your knowledge and advance your career.
