Six certificants from outside the US were welcomed as BCSP Ambassadors at a training in New Delhi, India, this February.
The new ambassadors include Bala Siva Srikanth Adivi, CSP; Kevin Chothani, CSP; Dr. Vincent Ho, CSP, SMS; Subbarao Palagummi, CSP; Mingxing Ren, CSP; James Thorn, CSP.
BCSP’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Treasa M. Turnbeaugh, CSP, ASP, CET, CAE, IOM, met with the certificants and thanked them for volunteering their time to promote the qualities that make an effective safety professional, including certification. BCSP Strategic and Global Relations Director Erica Poff, CAE, IOM, led a training over several days, covering the important components of certification, its value, and how people interested in improving safety practice and advocate for and/or achieve certification.
“We have had great success sharing certifications value with the Ambassador Program since initiating the Program in 2017, and we are excited to expand it even further by including more members of the international community,” said Poff.
The BCSP Ambassador Program is an outreach initiative that engages select volunteers among BCSP certification holders to represent BCSP at events and speaking engagements with stakeholders in the safety, health, and environmental (SH&E) field.
