The National Safety Stand-Down, a week-long campaign to prevent falls in construction, is scheduled May 8-12, 2017.
Organizations can commit to participate in the stand-down on the National Safety Stand-Down’s OSHA webpage. Suggested activities include toolbox talks on working safely at height, conducting safety equipment inspections, developing rescue plans, or discussing job specific hazards.
As part of the campaign, many useful resources on fall prevention have been compiled on the campaign’s resources webpage as well.
Participating organizations can download certificates of appreciation after the event. They are also encouraged to share their stories with OSHA and through use of the social media hashtag #StandDown4Safety.
