BCSP awarded its 2025 Qualified Academic Program (QAP) Scholarships at the end of last year. The scholarships are presented annually to deserving students who attend collegiate programs that BCSP has determined match the criteria needed to offer the Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) designation.
“My favorite part about being an EHS student is learning how safety connects to every part of people’s lives and workplaces," said Comfort Turkson, a graduate student in the Occupational Safety Management program at Indiana State University. "I love that what I study can directly help protect others and prevent injuries.
“Receiving the QAP Scholarship has greatly supported my academic and professional journey by easing my financial burden and allowing me to focus more on my coursework, research, and professional development.”
A total of 39 students received QAP scholarships in 2025, and you can see them recognized below. We congratulate these students on their academic achievements and look forward to seeing the future impact they will make on the EHS profession.
Additionally, BCSP provides funds each year to EHS programs seeking accreditation or reaccreditation through ABET. BCSP awarded grants to seven programs in 2025. You can also see them listed below. We are proud to support these programs’ emphasis on proving quality through accreditation.
