September 27, 2016

CSPThe Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) has completed beta testing for the CSP9 examination and will release the new version to safety, health, and environmental (SH&E) professionals on October 31, 2016 (CDT). All CSP Exam Authorizations purchased on or after October 31, 2016 (CDT) will be for the CSP9.

“BCSP thanks the many candidates who participated in the CSP9 beta test,” says Susan Gould, CSP, ASP, OHST, CHST, STSC, Examinations Director at BCSP. “The information provided by those who sat for the beta examination ensures the CSP continues to be the Gold Standard of safety certification.”

Information gathered during the beta test was used in the validation of the examination’s items by a third-party psychometrician, ensuring the quality of the examination.

SH&E practitioners who aim to achieve the CSP have access to the new examination’s blueprint and the Self-Assessment publication. The CSP9’s blueprint and references can be found at www.bcsp.org/csp.
