Christy Uden, CAE, IOM Appointed as BCSP CEO

BCSP Selects New LeadershipThe Board of Certified Safety Professionals® (BCSP®) announced today that they have appointed Christy Uden, CAE, IOM as its next CEO. Uden has served as COO for over four years and interim CEO for the last 10 months. She brings 15 years of experience at BCSP to this role as well as a deep understanding of the safety, health, and environmental (SH&E) industry.

“Christy’s tenure as interim CEO solidified our decision that she is the right person to lead BCSP into its next chapter,” stated Joaquin Diaz, MM, CSP, OHST, CHST, CIH, President of the BCSP Board of Directors. “She is not only a leader with foresight and a deep understanding of BCSP’s operations and mission, but she exemplifies the core values inherent in our work—respect, excellence, accountability, and leadership.”

Under Uden’s leadership, BCSP will undergo development of a new strategic plan this fall. The organization remains committed to building upon BCSP’s 50-year history—continuing to lead the SH&E profession.
