The Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) is recognized as the leader in high-quality credentialing for safety, health, and environmental practitioners in order to enhance the safety of people, property, and the environment. The Certified Safety Professional® (CSP®) certification is the premier credential for safety professionals. BCSP, governed by 13 directors with seven membership organizations, establishes standards for and verifies minimum competency in professional safety practice. It also evaluates CSPs for compliance with re-certification requirements. Since 1969, over 20,000 individuals have achieved, and more than 11,000 hold, the CSP credential. BCSP is an accredited, non-profit corporation chartered in Illinois, with headquarters in Savoy.
Important News! Salary Survey
The 2009 Salary Survey has been sent out through our survey service, SnapSurveys. Responses to the survey will be combined to create an online searchable database. This database will provide industry professionals with enhanced salary statistics and a better understanding of the value of certification. The search engine is scheduled to go live as soon as the search engine is complete.
Purchasing Exams Online... Not Yet!
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer exams for purchase on the website. Exams can only be purchased by calling into Customer Service at (217) 359-9263 or by emailing or faxing your examination registration form with payment. After an exam purchase, you will receive an authorization letter. We are looking at adding that functionality to our future website design.
