Certification Services Advisor
Our Certification Services Advisor is more than a Customer Service Representative. This person not only knows how to provide outstanding customer support over the phone and through e-mail, but (s)he can analyze documentation and exercise good judgement in applying policies and standards.

The successful candidate for this full-time position will have excellent communication skills, show initiative, can multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines, will be fluent in Microsoft Office applications, and will have experience with analysis, evaluation, and the exercise of good judgement.

Examinations Manager
BCSP is seeking a highly-motivated Examinations Manager. This person will be responsible for leading and managing projects related to high stakes test development and deployment. This includes activities such as developing new examinations, recruiting for and facilitating role delineation studies, developing blueprints, overseeing item development, developing examination forms, deploying test forms to exam delivery provider, managing test processes, and revising exam forms under psychometric guidance. This person will manage a small team of Examinations Specialists and will work in conjunction with the current Examinations Manager. Both Managers report directly to BCSP’s Examinations Director.

The successful candidate will have experience with high stakes test development and in coordinating volunteer groups for examination development. Excellent writing and grammatical skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, and outstanding project management and planning skills are required. Knowledge of the safety, health, and environmental industry is a plus.

Government and Global Affairs Specialist
BCSP is seeking a Government and Global Affairs Specialist to track, review and organize key legislation and regulations in the U.S. at the state and federal levels. This person will be responsible for developing and maintaining an online database of laws and regulations impacting the professional safety practice, communicating with elected government officials on relevant policies and issues, writing blogs and articles for the BCSP webpage, researching significant laws and regulations, as well as maintaining and growing the contact database for government affairs and outreach.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Political Science, Public Policy, Business Administration, International Affairs, Communications, etc.). The equivalent of one year specialized experience working with elected officials and/or staff, appointed government officials in the legislative and/or executive branches, or related agencies (federal, state, or local levels) is strongly desired. Exceptional interpersonal skills and critical thinking skills are required. Knowledge of the Safety, Health and Environmental industry and of certification programs is a plus, but is not required.

Psychometrician
BCSP is seeking a highly-motivated psychometrician with detailed knowledge of, and experience with, principles and practices used to create and maintain psychometrically-produced and validated exams. This person will be responsible for leading Job Task Analysis Meetings, Item Development Workshops, and Cut Score Meetings, as well as using the results of these meetings to create and maintain our exams. Responsibilities will include performing annual statistical analysis on all examination data as well as analysis of beta examination statistics and other reviews as required. In addition, this person will be significantly involved in maintaining ANSI and NCCA accreditations of our certification programs.

The successful candidate will have at least three years of experience working as a psychometrician, getting work done through groups of volunteers, and interacting well with team members. Exceptional interpersonal skills and excellent project planning and management skills are required. Knowledge of the Safety, Health and Environmental industry and of certification programs is a plus, but is not required.
